Taxi - BKK to Kanchanburi
How much, as an estimate, would a taxi cost from the southwestern area of BKK to Kanchanaburi, and vice versa? We plan to spend a couple of days in Kanchanburi, so would taxis be willing to do a one-way trip? Thx for any/all information!!

You can convince a taxi to take you just about anywhere, for a price. The question is, why would you want to spend all that time in a car that's generally barely roadworthy? There are a lot of limo services that can take you there. Depending on the size and type of car, Oriental Escape charges 2,400 Baht and up for a one-way transfer.

I agree with Michael. A taxi will probably be pretty crappy. In that situation, I'd hire a decent car. I've been there, but went in a mini bus for a 12-hour day trip bought in Bangkok.Happy Travels!

As another option, you can also take a train from Thon Buri.
