Suggestion needed for my trip to India in Nov

I plan to visit India for 17 days and here is the itinerary:

13-Nov Delhi
14-Nov Delhi
15-Nov Dehli to Mathura to Vrindaban to Agra, overnight at Agra for full moon
16-Nov Agra to Juipur, via Fatehpur Sikri
17-Nov Juipur
18-Nov Juipur to Judhpur by overnight train
19-Nov Judhpur to Jasialmer by car (or by overnight train)
20-Nov Jasialmer
21-Nov Jasialmer to Judphur by car (or by overnight train)
22-Nov Judhpur
23-Nov Judhput to Udaipur by air or by car
24-Nov Udaipur
25-Nov Udaipur
26-Nov Udaipur to Delhi by air
27-Nov Delhi to Varanasi
28-Nov Varanasi to Khajuraho by air
29-Nov Khajuraho to Delhi by air
30-Nov Delhi to home

I am also think taking Bhopal Express to Jhansi for Orchha. If so, I have to leave Udaipur a day earlier, which leave me 2 days in Udaipur. And the last week of my trip will change to:

23-Nov Judhput to Udaipur by air
24-Nov Udaipur
25-Nov Udaipur to Delhi by air
26-Nov Delhi to Jhansi to Khajuraho by train 6:00 to 10:24
27-Nov Khajuraho
28-Nov Khajuraho to Varanasi by air
29-Nov Varanasi to Delhi by air
30-Nov Delhi to home

Which way is better or any other suggestions? Thanks.

That's a great choice of cities to visit, atam, and there's not much I could say to improve on it.... the one thing that jumped out at me when reading it is that you are really cutting Varanasi down to almost nothing. The airport is not all that close to the main city (and it's one of the more depressing airports in India, with a clumsy check-in system that may take you upwards of an hour to get through), so a lot of the time you have allowed will be taken up by formalities and transport; but it's all worth it when you get to the Ganges and have a chance to stroll around the ghats at sunset and at sunrise. It's a place to sit and ponder the meaning of existence, to slow down while the teeming millions swarm all around you. Take an extra day from somewhere else and add it to Varanasi.

The only places on your schedule that can really be seen in a single day are Agra (because, apart from the Taj, it's a good place to get out of) and Khajuraho, which is so delightfully compact that you can walk in a few minutes to all the attractions from any one of the dozens of hotels in the quiet main street.

On November 16, make sure you get to the Taj early -- no later than 5:45 at the ticket office. You will be first in to see the memorial, and it will look great in the bright November morning. By the time the hordes and the school groups start to descend -- around 8 to 8:30 it gets pretty unbearable -- you can be on your way to Fatehpur Sikri.

Have a great trip (with these places, how can you miss? How I envy you!)

I am envious also. Itis hard to improve on this, except, yes I agree you need more than one day in Varanasi... but there is no where I could tell you to cut from

Glad you are seeing Fatehpur Sikri

I find out that is a daily flight from Udaipur to Varanasi via Jaipur and Delhi. So I can add one day to Varanasi but a bit worry the back to back connection.

atam,
You may be spending too much time commuting, checking in & out of the Hotels, and waiting around for connections to trains, airflights, etc.
PALACE ON WHEELS, Practically covers same places: Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer,Udaipur & more. Except Varanasi, and Khajuraho.
Palace on Wheels is a luxury train tour, 7 nights & 8 days, with idividual cabins. The price of about $275.00 per person per day includes everything except the booze. It also includes ground transportation(AC coaches), tour guide, visitation to tiger & bird sancturies, elephant and camel rides etc. Train travels at night, thus you have all day for sightseeing, shopping etc. I highly recommend it, since there is no packing up of your suitcases every time you are in different city, no checking in & outs. Check out their Web Site.
