My son and daughter were due to leave BKK on 28th Nov but with lots of time and patience resulting in 2 days lost of their vacation, re routed through Cambodia. They were in Cambodia when all the protests erupted and cut out their final days in BKK.
However, or son's girlfriend who's family is in BKK stayed behind and has not yet been able to get back here to Chicago where she owns a Thai Restaurant. There appears to be a huge backlog still and it's hard to get information. Will let you know when she returns.

Still a few people stuck here in the Bangkok Marriott Resort & Spa. I see them every day in the business center trying to get home.
NW has now resumed flights so I think I'm fine for the 10th, as scheduled.
I had to take a 9:45 hour bus ride from Phuket to Cha-am. Not as bad as I thought it would be in the 24 seat VIP bus.

GLAD Things are working out ok...hope you enjoy the marriott, my favorite hotel in bkk...
go see jack for some shirts/clothing etc...he is the tailor at monet il sarto on the 2nd floor of the mini mall out front....his store overlooks the parking area...
