We're going to be there at the end of July and yes, we are booking triple rooms (actually, I think they are probably double rooms with an extra bed). In Yangon, we are deciding between the Governor's Residence and Savoy (may do one on the front end and one on the back end). In Bagan, we'll probably stay at the Thiriptsaya(sp?), in Mandalay at the Sedona, and at Inle either the Princess or the Lake View (although we're now looking at the Inle Resort based on Craig's comments). If there are better places to stay we'd love to hear about them.

I'll now go on to my next question-maybe I should start a new thread.Hoping for advice on this. I have now got the Lonely Planet Guide and had a bit of a look and shaping our itinerary..because of out time restriction I am thinking that we will take the express boat from Mandalay to Bagan. However, I don't want to be on the boat for 9 hours and wondering whether it would be possible to hire a driver to go part of the way and then catch the boat so we spend the last 6 hours on it. Has anyone done the boat trip and is this possible?
