Just a little tip.. if you have the time, visit our hawker centers (our local heartland version of a Food Court), do try Bedok 85 Market Hawker Centre. Has good food, wide variety and cheap prices. Do avoid the over-hyped Newton Circus though.. way too overpriced and a tourist trap.
Thinking of buying electronics? Head to Sim Lim Square... but beware, its a tourist trap too unless you did your online homework or get a local to shop together. Electronics in SG are among the cheapest in Asia due to low import taxes and international warranties.
There are also many enclaves within SG with good cushiness and atmospheres, eg. Arab Street, Duxton Hill, Robertson Quay, Mt Faber, Holland Village.
You can also try Prawn fishing (called Prawning here), a past time for the seniors that is slowly picking up among teens. Just google and you can take your pick from the wide choices available. There are also goat farms, fish farms, etc in Sugei Kadut area.
And of course, for a good night view of the city, dine atop the many rooftop dining available in the Raffles Place / Marina Bay area.
Hope this helps!
