Siem Reap Restaurants

Hello
My husband and I are visiting Siem Reap for 5 nights at the start of April. Can anybody recommend some good places to eat in Siem Reap? I have done a search on the forum, but I know that places change hands / change chefs frequently.

We are staying at the Lotus Angkor, and would love to hear from anybody who has stayed there. We can't find many posts about this hotel.

Is it easy to get tuk-tuks into the town centre (and back again). I think our hotel is on the airport road.

Thanks
Debbie

Tuk tuks abound. Unless your hotel is outside the center of town, they should cost $1. Be firm. The Red Piano is excellent. See if you can sit upstairs on the balcony. Also, Blue Pumpkin is good for a quick lunch if you're near the Old Market Area.

Check out www.travelfish.org

It has a complete section on restaurants in Siem Reap, including reviews. Just go to the Cambodia section, and then Siem Reap.

It is also great for accommodation advice.

Ditto to the Red Piano and La Noria. Also the Indian Restuarant in that area was very good.
