Can't wait for the report, Isis. It should be fabulous. If I get the energy, maybe I'll go. I'm so worn out...shameful...and I said I was going to relax these three weeks and not stay out in the streets all day/evening. Happy Travels!

re: siam niramet
it's tranquil, serene, cultural
we called the siam niramet show and they speak english. all we had to do is the date, our names and phone number. they did not require a credit card via phone. but if i recall, you have to pay in baht.
Cost 1500 baht per person.
they recommended we also attend the buffet(400 baht per person) at 6 pm and then view their village.
we took the sky train to the asoke stop.
then took the subway train to the Thailand cultural village station. they is a free bus to take you to the cultural center and return. a man stands just outside the mrt station with a sign.
we did not opt for the buffet but arrived at 7 pm (show starts at 8 pm) and we had time to view the village.
as you know the village is not "the real thing" but it was done very nicely.
you can also go on a little boat ride.
The show is worthy of a las vegas show
but cultural. Many actors and dancers.
