Shirakawago to Takayama

I was able to book a bus from Kanazawa to Shirakawago on December 8, but can't seem to book from Shirakawago to Takayama the same day. Can anyone give me a hint as to how this can be done?

You could probably just show up for the bus you want. Nohi has reserved and non-reserved buses. You could inquire before departure from Kanazawa or on arrival at S-go. Maybe best is to go to the TIC at Kanazawa station when you arrive in Kanazawa.

Yeah, as soon as you arrive. There are not that many buses, and you don't want to wait too long - Shirakawago only takes a few hours to see.

Thanks. I did contact the bus company by email and followed their instructions to get the forward bus confirmation. I'm now in Japan and just have to get the confirmation printed out, in case I don't have good reception at Shirakawa-go for my phone.
