Safety at Bangkok?

Safety at Bangkok?
I would like to know if it,s safe cruising Patpong area and other night spots-at night,obviously, and Pattaya Beach Rd., too.

My wife and I have been to Thailand for the past 2 years and have found it very safe indeed. The Patpong area of Bangkok is not imtimdating at all, just say 'NO THANKS'to the hawkers trying to get you to enter the clubs/shows. <BR>

Patpong is very very safe at night...I assure you. I have been to Bangkok three times last year and I always stay in the Patpong area until the wee hours of the dawn and I did not encounter any security problem.
