Rooms/Suites for 3 in Bangkok?
Hello,
Hello,
I will be traveling with my wife and father in law in Nov. and would prefer finding a nice hotel/Guest apartment that has 2 rooms
(one for us and one for him) Not real interested in sharing a room for all 3 of us. Any advice on possibilities in Bangkok in a good location? Chiang Mai? Krabi?

The Centre Point group of serviced apartments, often mentioned here, would be one place to start in Bangkok. There's another group that all have President in their name that might be cheaper.
In Chiang Mai and Krabi, it may be harder to find what you're looking for. I can't think of anything off the top of my head.

emporium is building new apartments along the river that you might look into...
marriott mayfair, while not on the river, is very nice and has 2 bedrooms as does the conrad...
also you might look at baan chao payra....

moveandstay.com for a long list with photos and location map of serviced apartment buildings throughout the city. If you do a search...type in "serviced apartments" in the"Search" box, then there are many threads discussing the same topic. Happy Travels!

I endorse suggestion of Centre Point Silom in BKK. We stayed there for 9 nights last November and loved the accommodations and location. Breakfast buffet excellent, with dining room adjacent to outdoor pool. Very good restaurants nearby. On-site restaurant, while dirt-cheap, not great. Acting on advice from this site, booked through www.sawadee.com.

I second the Somerset Suwan Park View suggestion. I just stayed there last month for 9 nights. I found it to be a very pleasant experience. The cost for my 1-bedroom apartment was just over $100 per night. A 2-bedroom would be slightly more. Breakfast was included.
I posted photos of my apartment on my web site at cjscollection dot com. If you select the PHOTO GALLERY on the left side of the page, and then select the MISCELLANEOUS album, you will find a lot of photos with captions. Hope this helps.

Another fan of Centre Point Silom. Be aware that the river view apartments get a look at a little slice of the river between other buildings, and not an expansive view. But the location is very convenient to the main boat dock and the skytrain.
Operates very much like a full service hotel, with a pool, room service if you want it, and a 24 hour front desk.
