Knowing Bob, he probably has all of his luggage and some very nice bags owned by someone else.

Have a wonderful trip Bob and Karen. I'm just picturing the Marriott staff, all at attention in the lobby awaiting the Royal Couple's return.....
We all eagerly await your updates.

Say folks...How about an L.A. GTG in the spring...around the beginning of May when nothing else is probably going on to conflict with it. I WOULD NOT have it in L.A. proper, but in absolutely beautiful Pasadena...home of the Rose Parade...For over 4 decades I've known about everybody in town. A friend owns a huge Thai restaurant, but there are other restaurants around,too...plenty of them. Pasadena is culinary heaven. And there's one hotel in the heart of Old Town in the middle of the hub of things...Courtyard Marriot....so if one stayed there, the rental car could be parked and you wouldn't need it to get around Pasadena...since when you leave the door of the hotel, you would be in the middle of the happenings. There are also lots of motels in town due to over a million people coming every year for the Rose Parade. And we have one of the top Ritz Carltons in the U.S. if you want high end. Pasadena is only about 20 minutes from downtown L.A. and we have the red line, above the ground train...that runs into L.A. and Hollywood along with lots of areas. One of the stops is two short blocks from the Courtyard Marriot. So, what do you think folks? Throw out some dates. I just love to throw a party. It's in the blood! Happy Travels!

Guenmai, I think it's a great idea! Why not start a new thread for this.

By the way I stayed at the Ritz Carlton there once and it was fabulous! However, since I'll be paying this time I'll probably stay at the Marriott.

And I trust you to choose the best Thai restaurant for us!

Everything comes full circle. This thread began with best wishes to Bob and Karen and now Kathie is threatening to stay at a Marriott. BTW, the GTG sounds like a good idea.
