Reviews of yatrik.com for India?
I've read one fodorites favorable experience with yatrik.com. Has anyone else used them? They're coming in about 20% cheaper than Compass Tours which has loads of rave reviews. Internet searches don't help.

I think it was Bostonharbor that used Yatrik.com and her experience was excellent. I am one of those that used Compass. The devil is usually in the details - is it an apples-to-apples comparison? What type of vehicle is used for transport? Are hotel room types the same? Are breakfasts or other meals included? How about tax and service? And guide services, if any? - If everything is equal, go with Yatrik.

I can't speak highly enough about Yatrik. I have sent two other friends to them since my trip. One couple went very high end (mostly Oberoi Hotels) and the other group--three guys traveling together--went economy style. Both groups did nothing but rave about the service, the calls from Yatrik headquarters during the trip to make sure all was well, and more. Breakfast is included at every hotel and some dinners were included in our trip. The guides are the best. In every city we had good guides, in a few they were beyond good--they were fabulous. One even got us a private visit with the Maharajah.
When we arrived back in Delhi in preparation for the flight home, one of the partners in Yatrik personally took us around to all the best shops for over four hours
The cars they use exclusively are Toyota Qualis four by fours--very comfortable and roomy. Their drivers are fabulous. If you decide to use them, ask for Kewal (pronounced "Kevel"
. He is great fun and speaks good English. We just loved him and had him for more than two weeks in Rajasthan until we headed off for Mumbai.
I know that Compass is well thought of in the forum and Yatrik is not as well known, but (again), I cannot say enough about Yatrik and I would recommend them enthusiastically and without the slightest reservation. (and I am a very picky traveler).
Have a great time in India!
