Restaurant Recs for Taipei
We will be visiting Taiwan for the first time next month. I know there are Night markets that are popular for eating, but I would also like to experience some sit down restaurants in Taipei. I'm looking for suggestions of places to enjoy Taiwanese food as well as other Asian restaurants in Taipei. Thanks for your suggestions.

Some really fantastic info here:

As usual in Asia, you first need to figure out what you want to eat, and that will often dictate where to go. Come up with a list of things you have to try.

It is a while since we have been to Taipei but I do recall we mostly ate at the various night markets. The food was the best “street food” I have eaten anywhere (and there have been many, many places!). Raohe was our favourite and, imo should not be missed.
Another don’t miss “ place is Din Tai Fung, the original outlet in Taipei 101( also is def. Worth a visit to the observation deck.) It is the original and best and the dumplings and other dishes are sublime.

Thanks, Crellston! We will definitely hit night markets, but we are in Taiwan for 3+ weeks and I am sure we are going to want some sit down and eat restaurants for a change of pace.
