Relaxing places in Thailand to rest and recoup

Of course the southern Islands like Koh Lanta get high praise, but what about other places, particularly in the mountains or jungle.

I've traveled thailand before, and know that Chiang Mai is very cool, but specifically where is somewhere I could stay that is incredibly peaceful and relaxing. Mae Sa, near the elephant camp, looks relaxing, but I'm open to suggestions. I want secluded, maybe near a swimming hole or something cool like that, and very serene.

In the north on te way to Mai Hong Sorn NW from Chiang Mai, maybe Soppong River Inn Soppong River Inn, Soppong (??????) Pang Mapha, Mae Hon Son, Thailand , great local markets, sw8mming in the river and caves.Or Fern Resort Fern Resort - EcoTourism Resort for Nature Lovers in the hills out side of the market town of MHS.

Chiang Dao Nest https://www.chiangdaonest.com is also nice, an hour or so to the north of CM.

Alternatively, take a look at https://www.travelfish.org/country/thailand#islands for some of t(e less visited islands
