We are leaving Friday, March 31....the last day to take advantage of special rates. We have just returned from 3 weeks in Thailand/Cambodia, thus the only one week in Japan. Where and what do you plan to do? We are hoping it will be cherry blossom time and have tentative plans for Kyoto and Osaka.

We leave March 25 and return March 31st. We are also hoping to see the Cherry Blossoms. I think 2 years ago it hit the week I will be there and last year it hit the time that you will be there. Hopefully we can both see them.
We have 5 days. We decided to head quarter at the Osaka Hilton for the entire time. The main Osaka train station is right across the street and there is a mall type area, 2 huge department stores and lots of restaurants in thea rea. Hotels in Kyoto are pretty expensive (more so then Osaka) when we are there. I think we plan on spending 2 days in Kyoto, 1 day in Nara and the rest of the time in Osaka. We thought about Hiroshima but we just don't have enough time.
This is at least our current plan - subject to change
There are some very valuable people on this board - I am sure they will be of great help.
