president solitaire hotel, bangkok

I saw this hotel on the internet and rooms look good and very large. Rates for top suites at around $110. Anyone know what this place is like.

I have not stayed there but when I was staying at the Grand President, there was a little shuttle from the Solitaire that was transporting folks to and from the skytrain station at Nana. Did not see the bldg itself.

If it is in the "President" group, it may be a good value. Grand President has rental apartments that are very modern and clean and reasonable. We had one for a few weeks in June/July of this year.

it's acctually a service appartment but one of the top of the line once. I don't remember where but I saw that they had articles writen about it as a new concep of service aparment in the world.. I believe every room has a 42 inch plasma tv. and high speed internet. plus a bunch of other facilaties that the pen dosn't even offer. YES it's one of my dream apartments. but Im not a huge fan of suk 11 since it floods too darn much. I know since I go too thai sckool on that street almost every day.. but don't worry they have the free go cart shuttle too teh BTS station.

once again for those of us in the know serviced apartments in BKK are just about the best value of any accomidation on this and any other planet.

Orgy 7- What's a good Thai school to go to in Bangkok? I was thinking of going one summer. Or I might just take Thai lessons here in L.A. at our huge Thai temple...Wat Thai...but since I vacation in BK quite a bit, I thought I'd give it a try there. Happy Travels!

I go too somchart sckool... I like it becouse it's one-on-one and everyone is really cool and you learn by having fraindly conversations with the teachers as opposed too the khruu just muttering blah blah blah from the direction of a chalk board..

thai is very hard too learn so not sure how much you will get out of a summer but learning in both L.A and bkk is worthwile.

www.somchart.com
sorry but don't khnow much about other places.. but the somchart site does link too philip bkk. who is an expat and checked out some schools some years ago.
