PPP party - Thai government dissolved

The constitution court just read the verdict and the news are showing mass celebration by the protesters at both airport.

Now we have to wait and see if they will vacate the airports.

How do you think this situation will play out? as the pro government protesters seemed fairly set on demonstrations too?

I really hope this is all resolved very quickly and Thailand can get back to some form of normality. We were very disappointed to miss out on BKK this year. (got home about 6 hours ago cant sleep)

OK Guys here's what I know. The PAD(the protesters) will hold a big meeting today and according to some they will move from the airports to another site where they will still hold protest. The PAD will be following the movement of the Thaksin controlled party or parties.

As for the airports IF the PAD moves out it could take from a couple of days to over a week to get it re certified and ready for normal flights. I would think that they, the AOT, will rush and get Suvarnabhumi operation as fast as possible.

The worst case scenario is that the new political parties, Pue Thai(spl?) set up my members of the now defunct PPP they might nominate an MP call Chalerm Yoobumrung as the next candidate for the post of Prime Minister. If that happens you can expect all hell to break loose again.

According to the AOT(Airport of Thailand) Suvarnabhumi will resume normal operations within 7 days once the protesters leave. The protesters are still demanding that all former members of the now defunct PPP must leave the cabinet but that demand will be put to a vote by PAD themselves later today.
