I took the advice of another poster to check the Phuket website and was quite concerned when reading it after seeing glowing reports about Phuket. It seems to me to be quite a rough place from the news reports nabout twhat goes on there, I don't want to find ourselves in another Pattaya.<BR>http://www.phuketgazette.net has daily news and updates on Phuket, it is very handy but also quite an 'eye opener'.

I would love to receive you report. <BR>May I also add that I think the Baan Rim Pa Restaurant in Phuket is probably the BEST restaurant I have ever been to in the world. If you want high prices and a total tourist trap then you will love Phuket, but there is little if anything of the true character or nature of Thailand about the place, we though it was dreadfull. Cheaper to go to Pattaya for sure.
