Phuket to Phi Phi

Hello again,

Regarding the ferry transfer from Phuket to Phi Phi, the ferry schedule indicates that 2 ferries leave at 1:30 in the afternoon.
The Sea King leaves the Pla Mong port and the Paradise Cruiser leaves from Rasada Pier. Can anyone recommend one ferry over the other, ie. faster, safer, has life jackets etc.? My Nok Air flight lands at 9:00 in the morning so if there is a restaurant near one of the piers, that would probably be ideal.

Alternately, are direct transfers from the airport to Phi Phi available, thereby avoiding waiting for the ferry?

Thanks everyone,
AHarris

You can take a speedboat transfer.....under one hour, and my clear preference! The ferry is just sooooo slow!
If your budget can meet it ....book a speedboat.
Done it many times, if you want more info, just ask. In fact we're going to do it once again in three weeks.......just can't wait!!

Hi Leigh,

How do you go about booking a speedboat? Can this be done at the Phuket airport?

Michael, I first heard of destinationair on this site in December I think. I have e'mailed them several times as I would have given it a go later this month. To date I have had no reply from them. Do you know if they are up and running yet?
AHarris, your hotel at Phi Phi will arrange speedboat, and road transfer from airport. 10,000 to 1250 baht depending on one or two engine boat, at least that is the price through Holiday Inn.
Seaplane will cost you just over 8000 baht per person if you can coatact them.

Unfortunately the speedboat is beyond my budget so I'm back to the ferry. Can anyone recommend which pier to go to/ferry to take?

Thank you

Arriving at Phuket at 9.00 you will probably need to take the afternoon ferry at 13.30.

Since there are 2 ferries leaving at 1:30 from 2 different ports, can anyone recommend one over the other? Is one ferry larger, nicer, safer etc. than the other?
