Phuket to Krabi

Hi everyone,

I have been trying to find out how I can get from Phuket Airport to Krabi or Phi Phi. I have been finding different things and not sure which is correct.
Can someone please help. Does anyone also know the schedules for ferries or buses to these place?

Thanks alot

If you are landing at Phuket Airport and going straight to krabi then the easiest is simply to :-
a> Take a taxi from the airport road to krabi, about 2.5 to 4 hours depending on thwere in krabi you are going.
b> Ask your hotel/resort in krabi to give you a price for pick up from Phuket Airport. Every place will give you a price and 'some' actualy do some regular runs, a larger resort/hotel may have once or twice a day shuttle, anyway ask them.

Note: Pressume you know there is an airport in krabi, I guess though that your flight goes into Phuket(?)

Buses: These go from Phuket Town and honestly no point taking a bus or taxi all the way to Phuket town and then literally passing the airport on the way to get to krabi.

Typo" from airport road" means from the "airport by road", you get the taxi from arrivals, but 'do ask' your Krabi hotel first.

Thanks James for your reply.

I know that there is an airport in Krabi, but we are coming from Kuala Lumpur and the only place that Airasia goes from there is Phuket.

Do you know about how much a taxi would be to Krabi?

Should be around THB 1900 ( about RM 190 ) you can actualy pre book that in advance, I have never used these but they have been mentioned and the prices seem very reasonable, but again I have never used them myself. But that prices compares quite favorable.

I would though if you have time check with your hotel/resort in Krabi and see what they offer you , they might just have a van run to the airport that could suit your arrival time! Just give them a telephone call but if you make an arrangement follow that up with a fax and call later to check they have the fax and all arranged.
