Phi Phi

I'm going to Phi Phi island in July. I need some recommendations on where to stay. We were planning to stay at Phi Phi Princess, but it's full.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,We have just returned from Thailand, had a fantastic time,we went to Pee Pee for a day ,and all i can say is that unless you are young, and don,t mind loads of people packed beaches, and a smelly dirty village ,then i would not stay on the main PeePee island ,but on one of the resorts more secluded[ie palm beach resort]

Where else in Thailand did you go? Is Pee Pee island very touristy?

The area around Tonsai on Phi Phi reminded me of spring break in Cancun or something. The whole area is developed and full of shops and people. The beach was beautiful but there were so many people there!

I agree with the others. Tonsai is crowded, busy, smelly, and so try to avoid it.

When I was there last I stayed at the Holiday Inn Palm Beach and found it to be quiet, tranquil, and wonderful.

Thailand Travelogue and Photos:
http://www.bangor.ac.uk/~fos007/fb2b.htm

Try Koh Samet or Koh Chang south east from Bangkok past Pattaya or Kao Tao south from Bangkok. You will not find as much information but you will be surprised how lovely these places are compared with the places that have been spoilt by uncontrolled mass tourism.
