Online Thai Airways Fare

I found an economy restricted flight online on Thai Air's website from JFK to BKK on Nov. 2-18, 2006 for $1006 US. I can't tell online what class this economy fare is for. V & W class only gets you 50% mileage points while H,Q,M & B get you 100% mileage points. I called Thai Air's 1-800 number that the lady on the phone said she didn't know anything about their website and quoted me a fare of $1220 US. Does anybody know how many points I'll get if I book online?

Call Thai Air back and speak with a supervisor. Happy Travels!

That's funny, I noticed just last week that Thai now showed premium economy as well as regular on their site. I think you have to select it before you cost the flights, on the same screen as the one where you select which flights you want.

I see that the base fare is $843+. The following travelocity webpage (given appropriate info) query shows the lowest fare as $922+ and that is a V. The lowest fare that qualifies for 100% redeemable United Mileage Plus miles is $980. My GUESS is that your fare is a W fare. You would not earn about 9000 or 10,000 miles because of the W fare. Whether that is worth $137 or more is debatable.

itasoftware lists a VLAPX fare of $456 each way, $1075 all in.

you won't get any MileagePlus points for booking online at thaiairways.com if that is what you were asking.
