I do have a fear of height, but i still ride cable cars..but when that wind came up...i was just a shakin!! And then my husband would stand up and rock it even harder so i just about had a heart attack..But all the same, i really enjoyed the ride....and highly recommend it..

I was surprised that they could even build a cable car system there. Northern Lantau often has very strong, unpredictable winds. About two years ago, a rescue helicopter departing from the airport crashed onto the hillside (mostly human error, but microburst probably play a part).
But then, this system is very massive and seems very robust; so I'm sure it's very very safe. But "safe" and "comfort" is two different things. I wouldn't go on it on a windy day, even though I'm not "afraid".
