New bills for Singapore?

Do I need the newer $100 and $50 bills to exchange in Singapore? I'm only going to be there for a couple of days and don't even expect to use much cash, mostly for just taxis and possibly some shopping, but need newer bills if that is the case there also. Thanks

Really, you need the newer bills (more difficult to counterfit) to exchange anywhere. ATMs are everywhere in Singapore. If you have a bank account that doesn't charge an arm and a leg for foreign ATM use or a high percentage for foreign exchange, that's an easy way to go.

I opened a bank account specifically for use in foreign countries that charges nothing for foreign ATM use and charges only 1% on foreign exchange.

Kathie is correct. You will need the newer style bills if you leave the country and want to exchange currency. In all my experience, that is what I have found to be true.

If you're a Citi customer, they have their ATMs at virtually every MRT station.
