Need your opinion on HDR photos

Hi,

I'm just beginning to learn how to develop photos in the HDR(High Dynamic Range) format and would like to ask my fellow travelers what they think of them. Some of the photos where shot against the light with the wrong setting but with HDR I've managed to make them viewable. I've purposely "colored" them in an abstract way since I think they look quite nice.

Please let me know your opinion and the photos are from Laos, Myanmar, Egypt and Switzerland.

Link for the photos: http://khun-pook.smugmug.com/ click on the HDR gallery.

Pook, the colors sure POP right out at you. Interesting and worthwhile to include a few of these in each of your photo sets.

Thanks for your opinion Craig. I'm still in the learning phase but after seeing some of the results from the pros I'm hooked. I think the original is the best but sometime it's nice to have alternative.

I love them and I love the colors. Such clarity! It would be interesting to see the original and then the HDR photo to see the difference.... It looks like the pictures that you started with were beautiful.

Thanks Bob!

dreaming,

I've uploaded the original with no "tweaking" apart from converting it from RAW to JPEG.
