Need help with itinerary
My family of 4 (including 14 and 17 y/o) have on hold flight to Bangkok on Dec 24, then return flight from singapore on January 6.
We were planning 3 nights in Bangkok, 2 nights in Siem Reap, 5 nights in Phuket (we have a flight booked from Phuket to Singapore on 1/3-tight availability), and the last 3 nights visiting friends in Singapore.
There are some difficulties getting a flight to Phuket on Dec 29.
We're thinking of re-evaluating the intra-Asia itinerary, maybe skipping Angkor Wat entirely and justing doing Thailand and Singapore. We definitely want some beach time.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Thanks for your inputs-I will save Angkor Wat for another time. However, I don't really want to spend 5 nights in Bangkok or 7 nights in Phuket (4 in Bangkok and 6 in Phuket is an option but it seems a waste to spend so much time at the beach). Anyplace not too far from Bangkok to visit?

I love Bangkok and could spend weeks there. There is so much to do and see. You can also opt for day trips outside of Bangkok. I don't think it really makes sense to go somewhere else for two nights... I agree, I wouldn't want to spend too much of my time at Phuket.

it takes about 2 1/2 days to do angkor in reasonable fashion and that doesn't count the time it takes to get there and back.
3 nights in bangkok is cutting it close especially if you are there over a weekend and spend time going to the weekend market. there is a lot to see in bangkok (much more than in singapore).
I'd probably just put add the 2 days in bangkok and do day trips if you want to the old capitol. If you really want to go somewhere else Chaing Mai is an alternative, but you will be pretty rushed in bangkok
i'd stick with thailand and singapore.
