Need feedback on resort experiences in Maldives

We are considering the Maldives in July. Looking at Banyon Tree Resort for 7 days. What other island/resort is recommended for 3/4 nights? Thanks!

I've stay at the Banyan Tree in the Maldives and it was beautiful. The only thing I didn't like was that there are no A/C in the room. On most days and nights the temp was OK but some time it gets hot.

Another good resort that I've stayed in and like very much is the Soneva Fushi. Require a long sea plane trip after you've arrived but I enjoyed it. Try searching for their web site and take a look.

Lastly, don't take any type of liquor into the country!

Apiwat - in what room type did you stay? We thought the ocean view jacuzzi sounded fine - are they close to water? get any breezes? Which do you recommend? Was it crowded on the beaches?
Thanks!

Ted,

I stayed in a Beachfront Villa and the room you've mentioned - the Jacuzzi does have A/C. Please keep in mind that all these resorts in the Maldives are on their own private little islands. You will not be far from the water and there will not be a crowd on the beach. Banyan Tree resorts are quite exclusive so don't worry. About getting any breeze or not that all depend on the weather when you're there. Your room does have A/C so that will help incase there is no breeze. It's a beautiful place so enjoy!

I would say if you can afford Banyan tree then you would like (and could afford) one of these:
Soneva Fushi,Soneva Gili (all water bungalows),or Kanuhura Resort & Spa.
I stayed at Soneva Fushi 2 wks...it was great and will stay at Kanuhura this year for a wk. Good luck!

Okay, we've got it narrowed down to the Four Seasons or Soneve Gilli. Should I just flip a coin? Or can anyone help make a comparison of those two.
