The bus is much easier, but it can be very tedious (though on a Sunday it should be ok). When you emerge from arrivals, the place for booking a "limousine bus" is just across the hall, and the bus stops are right outside. It reduces confusion if you try to use Japanese pronunciation "Gurandu Hyattu, Roppongi" (there are several Hyatts in Tokyo,so make clear it's the one in Roppongi).

Turns out there's a web site with times and maps at
http://www.limousinebus.co.jp/e/index_route.html
(click on Akasaka, and don't confuse it with Asakusa).

I like the bus much better. It's very easy and convenient. You save yourself the hassle of carrying your luggage all over the place and going up and down the stairs in the stations. The limousine bus counter is right outside of customs and you hardly have to touch your bags during the whole trip. They take care of everything for you. Smooth and easy.

I took the bus which is much easier than train. You buy your tickets right in the airport and the bus is very comfortable. It is a long ride and much to see. THere were many families on my bus and they seemed very comfortable. Good Luck and ENJOY!
