Myanmar in Five days - Advice please!

Is the following a sensible way to spend 5/6 days in Myanmar?

Wednesday: 08:00 - Arrive into Yangon Airport. Day in Yangon. 16:00 - Overnight train to Bagan.
Thursday: Day Bagan.
Friday: Day Bagan. 20:30 Overnight bus to Inle Lake.
Saturday: Day Inle Lake.
Sunday: Day Inle Lake. 18:00 Overnight bus to Yangon.
Monday: Day in Yangon. 16:00 flight from Yangon Airport

Or would it be better to pick either Bagan or Inle? ... or somewhere else?

Thanks for advice!

I give you the same advice as to your post elsewhere
"You will spend ever night on a bus and every day recovering...
Maybe fly one long sector (Yangon-Bagan or Heho-Yangon?) or even fly out of Mandalay instead of backtracking to Yangon."

You can read about train travel in Myanmar here:

He is more enthusiastic than I would expect, but it seems the trains may have been upgraded since my friends rode them. No way would I take an overnight bus - likely dangerous as well as uncomfortable. Either you have enough time for overland travel in daylight, preferably by car and driver, or you fly.

I would agree that you may be tired if you do lots of overnight busses, so perhaps choose either Inle or Bagan, and travel around the areas a bit.

I do not think the overnight busses are uncomfortable or that dangerous. I actually think they are surprising comfortable for a coach. Of course people must make up their own minds, but I believe it is pretty rare for these tourist coaches to crash.

It's doable but a bit tired. I've seen three tourists from Singapore visiting Yangon, Bagan and Inle Lake for 4 days without taking accommodation, they do the following route:

Day 1: Arrive Yangon, night bus to Bagan
Day 2: Arrive Bagan, night bus to Inle Lake
Day 3: Arrive Inle lake, night bus to Yangon
Day 4: Arrive back Yangon, fly out evening.

It's unbelievable but they did it. You got more time if compare to them.
