Take a 2 hours' drive to Dragon Back Rice Terrace at Ping'an Village of the Zhuang ethnic group, which was built between Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty. Our guide told us it has already been more than 650 years in history. It is a renowned place for rice culture of China. The terraces are built into the hillsides, looking like great chains or ribbons as they wind from the foot to the top of the hill, imposing and towering like the back of a dragon.

Ping'an Village, Zhuang ethnic minority village, is located high in the Longji mountains. These rice terraces were constructed by the Zhuang minority people to make their mountainous land arable.

PS: Because of heavy rain, the road to longsheng a little dangerous, so if some one want to longsheng, I think choose the sunny day, that's the better.

The Dragon's Back tour was very much worth it. It is a testimony to human endeavor and also a beautiful sight. Be sure to hike up the trail as far as you are able to go.

I'd like to know the cost also. As a single traveler a private tour seems very expensive usually. Or was this a small group rather than private?

We took this tour for private, because of I and my family want some free time to enjoy this vacation, five person,about 700RMB p.p including lunch and one night hotel fee.

But the group tour of one day dragon back rice terrace tour is very cheap, it's about 300RMBp.p, you can ask some local travel agent.
