Before we went to Borneo and Java our immunoligist that gave us all our shots said that a light application of 100% deet on clothes and around neck, on hair and under socks was safe for 4-5 days use but applying ONLY twice a day.
We also purchaed a few very lightweight shirts and pants made with mosquito replellent in the fabric. They are helpful through 5-6 washings, are easy to wash and hang dry in no time but a little expensive but 3 outfits will not break the bank.
