More questions about bangkok

Can I travel without much US dollars and expect to find ATM machines plentiful which take US ATM cards and are open 24/7?

Are there machines at the airport?

About how much do most people tip their day guides?

No problem. US ATM cards will work everywhere. Make sure you tell your bank you're going to Thailand.

Why do you think you need a day guide?

ATM's are everywhere....make sure you contact your bank and credit card companies before you leave the States and let them know you will be using the cards in Bangkok. Also, have a second ATM card if possible just in case for some reason a machine takes your card. This happened to me in London but never in Bangkok. Yes, there are ATM's at the airport and probably about 400 or 500 baht is enough of a tip for full day guide.
