Miyajima Daisho-In HELP needed

We are planning an April trip to Japan. We would like to go to the Daisho-In fire walking ceremony in Miyajima, but I am concerned that the site may not be accessible for someone who uses a walker. Does anyone know where in the temple they hold the ceremony? Do you need to climb many steps to the temple to get there?

I am hoping someone can help. To include the Fire Walking ceremony I need to tweak our hotel reservations, so I need to figure this out quickly. DH uses a rolling walker. A few steps with a railing to grab are not a huge problem. But he can't climbthe 20-30 stairs with the prayer wheels I see in the temple pictures.

If the Fire Walking ceremony is not accessible, we will not need to change hotel plans. We will arrive in Miyajima in time for the Taka-sai event that evening.

Accessible in this case can include a mile or more walking, curbs, and a few steps. The 20-30 stone steps with no railing will not work.

Have no answer for you but the Miyajima Tourist Association has an English website with a form to contact them - maybe you can try that....

Daisho-in has many steps and I imagine would be very crowded for the ceremony. It would be quite difficult for someone with a walker.
