Manila Hotels

Has anyone ever stayed at either the Hyatt or the Renaissance in Manila? Which would you prefer - and how far apart are they? Are they in the same general area? Thank you for any advice/information you can give!

Hi Debi,

I have stayed at the Renaissance Hotel and the price is way below the prices of Shangri-la and other high-end hotels but the service and the rooms are not that different. I like the hotel because it is in the center of Makati and it is just very near everything from the upscale mall, Glorietta, the clubs and bars at Pasay Road (just oppposite the hotel actually) and of course, the country's financial center.

Hyatt is not in Makati and I suggest that you stay at the Renaissance.

I am from the Philippines but I'm based in Singapore and if you need more info then email me.

Erwin

I've not stayed at the Renaissance but I wouldn't stay at the Hyatt. It's in a rather seedy area and far away from Makati. With the traffic it takes well over half an hour to get between the two.

Prefer the New World Hotel personally on Makati Ave across from the Landmark Shopping Center...Great location and superb hotel...has the best buffet in town hands down as well as a friendly and helpful staff
