Hi everyone,

My boyfriend and I are looking to fly to one of these countries from Thailand in early June. We are in our mid-20's and our budget is around $2000 for all costs. We are looking for nice beaches, nightlife, and lots of activities on and off land.

Might be worth doing a bit more homework and narrowing things down a bit.
How much time you have would also be handy to know.

June is a great time for Bali -- good weather and before the tourist season kicks in. The US Dollar goes far in Indonesia these days, though how far depends on how long you intend to stay.

I'd suggest that you spend sometime in the Ubud area for nature and culture then some time at one of the southern beaches. Bali's has big wave, big sky surfing beaches, not the pristine white sand varieties that you find in other parts of Asia. The Lombok beach scene is more laid back.

For nightlife -- sophisticated clubs and restaurants -- you can't beat Seminyak/Petitenget.

These are all very different places. I know you just mentioned "nice beaches, nightlife, and lots of activities on and off land" (and they all have that) but there are vast cultural differences among these places. I agree with marmot that Bali would be perfect for that time of the year.
