I am not sure when was your last visit to Penang. If you come on last week of Friday and weekend, there are many activities waiting for you to explore and learn in details. For example, on Saturday of the week, you can join free Lacala guiding walking tour (organized by George Town Heritage Trust) to understand Armenian Street, Cannon Street and Acheen Street historical events stories. On yourself walking tour, you will never know such great events happened there. One of the events was Dr Sun Yat Sen used one of Armenian Street shop house to plan for 2nd Guangzhou uprising in China in year 1910. This uprising was the turning point to China revolution.

Or you can also visit Botanical Garden to join the free garden plant guiding talk (organized by Penang Global Tourism). After 6pm, you can visit Armenian Street for local talent shows. These are some activities happened in last two years onwards.

Outside Penang island, you may visit neighbor states towns likes Taiping, Kuala Sepetang (formerly known as Port Weld), Lembuh Bujang and Alor Setar. Each town has its own interesting story to explore and experience.

If you are interested in living in old days where no proper pipe water and electric supply environment, you may consider Kuala Sangga where 25 minutes boat rides from Kuala Sepetang. Float chalets are available for overnight staying. If you have over 18 adults, you can also consider wild dolphin watching cruise tour in Kuala Sepetang jetty. These activities are seldom known to visitors (local and oversea).
