Hi,
I have 6 nights in Malaysia, out of which 2 days I plan to spend in KL and 2 days in lagkawi.
Could sumone advise me what to do/ where to go in the remaining 2 days
Also,in KL Im planning to cover Batu Caves, City tour, Bukit Bintang, Petronas .. anything else left?
Please suggest on things to do in langkawi ( other than the cable car ride)
Thanks!!

I'd recommend the Georgetown area of Penang. Lovely old historic district and wonderful hawker food.
The reason to go to Langkawi is the beach, there really isn't anything else there.
I think you've covered everything in KL, though personally, I wouldn't bother with a city tour.

In KL I would suggest Chinatown - esp nr Old China Cafe and central market. easy to do that, Petronas Towers (you may not get in but can see it from outside) and poss Batu caves (take a taxi, make sure they run the meter or charge about 25RM/hour and maybe ask them to wait for you whilst you go up the stairs....) would also suggest a day trip to Malacca if you have time - a good guided tour on Viator, I seem to recall.
Why only 2 days in Langkawi? You may wish to chill some more.... Id also throw in a day in Penang, but it may be v rushed in just 6 days.

Look into going to the Cameron Highlands for 2 days. They are breathtaking. They are 2.5 hours by car and 4 hrs. unfortunately by bus. But with a car you can enjoy the gypsy people that live in and around the Highlans and their culture.

How can you forget Genting Highland?
While in KL, just go to KL Sentral, and buy promotional package for reaching to Genting, i.e. Bus to cable car station and then cable car to Genting, and return by the same route. The cable car drive is awesome and pamper the child within you in outdoor and indoor games. If are rich, you can visit Casinos and get richer.

Penang.. great island. At least go to the E+O for their happy hour next to the pool. They make a beautiful fruit tray and drinks also were half price. There are plenty of monuments to see across the entire island. The jungle was a nice trek also on the northern art.We loved our 5 nights on the island.
We went snorkeling halfway between Langkawai and Penang. Many people used the snorkeling trip to transport themselves to Penang/langkawi, which I thought was a smart idea.
We enjoyed KL also, but had nothing else to compare it to. it was well worth out stopover there.
Also hiked in a very civilized jungle with a canopy walk, and saw plenty of sites and really enjoyed the rooftop bars and lounges after dinner.

Though the area around th Genting Highlands is attractive the hotel which is a destination is like a mini-Disneyland "gone wrong", in my opinion. Though it is close to KL vs. cameron Highlands the Cameron Highlands are another world in terms of natural beauty.

If you're in KL in August/early September, try to visit a Ramadhan market. I love the night markets, there's one somewhere each night of the week. There's also one in Chinatown every evening. Beware of pickpockets and bag snatchers. I wouldn't go to Genting. Penang is worth a trip. Not so crazy about Langkawi. Some people like Malacca.

I wouldn't bother with Langkawi for 2 days as there is not a great deal there apart from the beach life. As other have said Penang would be a good choice maybe even for 4 days as there are some nice Shangrila Hotels there and teh town itself is jam packed with great palces to eat. Another alternative may be Melaka for a couple of day - some great colonial architecture and of course the superb Nonya food.
