Lonely Planet/Rough Guide to spare?

We are travelling to India in October and would like to get hold of anyones guidebook that is just sitting in the bookcase gathering dust. <BR>We're happy to pay the postage. <BR>Our address is c/- Rushbrooke, 9 glosters green, kineton, warwickshire, england cv35 0lt <BR>thanks heaps...mike

Just a suggestion, Mike - but maybe you should obtain a new copy. An old copy might have out of date information. I'm not sure how often they update these particular books, but I buy new copies of travel books every few years just to keep current. Or - check out your local library.

Pity you're noy going to Japan. I left my 'Rough Guide to Japan' somewhere in northern Honshu.

If you cannot afford a guide book, can you afford a trip to India? I recommend Loneoy Planet, it is affordable.

the Cadogan India guide is due out this month. It will be the most current and I believe is first published in England. Footprint is by far the best resource for India. Their most current edition is 2001. I have the most recent editions of Footprint and Lonely Planet, but have found that so much has changed since they were published. That's why I'd recommend Cadogan. If you can't afford to buy, get them at a library.
