Leather Belts in Bangkok

I have heard that the workmanship for leather goods is not that great in Bangkok. However, I know there could be exceptions. I am looking for a couple of finished leather belts that could be worn with my suits. Anyone know of a place where I might find these in Bangkok at Thailand prices? I am not looking for any type of designer knock-off by the way. At home I shop at Jos A Bank or similar places.

Last trip my friend bought some nice ones at a store in Oriental Place. She found similar ones elsewhere for a lot cheaper but she seemed to feel these were much better quality. There was also a store in River City that had a decent selection. It also made shoes.

If you want to pay Thailand prices and not some hugely inflated tourist ripoff then look in the clothing sections of department stores like Central & Robinsons. They have good quality stuff at reasonable and marked prices. Just remember many belts in Thailand are made from snake, elephant, crocodile, lizard, I've even seen frog, so you may run into troubles with the customs when you arrive home. I always buy cowhide leather goods, they're cheaper than the exotic hides and are more durable too.

Bob, the inspiration of my original post was "Pleasures and Treasures". It does list a couple of very high end places for leather - with prices to match.
