Last Night Tokyo Hotel Suggestions?
We are returning from Hakone and have an overnight and half day back in Tokyo before departing from Narita. We would like to see the Imperial Palace and some other sites near that area on that last day.
Can anyone suggest a hotel (less than $150 per night) that would have easy access to return to Narita via subway / train with the fewest connections? Or would we be better off staying near a major station that would allow easy access and just taking the subway to the area with the last couple of sites that we want to see that day.

My plane doesn't leave til 6:30 PM so I have most of the day when I do something similar. I think I prefer staying in a hotel convenient to my means of transport to the airport. Last time I stayed at a hotel near Ueno Station and I took the Keisei Limited Express to the airport - so that worked well - left my luggage in the hotel. During the day I was sightseeing in the Shinjuku area which is easy to get to from Ueno....hope that helps....

Tommmo, we will have already visited Senso-ji and done the river cruise by our last day, but it sounds like Asakusa might be the best area to get to the airport from.
Mara, our flight also leaves at 6:30 p.m. so that is why we are wanting to spend some time seeing the last of the sights in Tokyo, but also want convenient transport to Narita. Maybe we could stay near Ueno Station that last night and I can change up the itinerary to see Asakusa the last day instead of the first day.
Thanks for the replies and any other ideas are also welcome.

Shinagawa is also convenient if you want to take the Narita Express to the airport. There is a Toyoko Inn three blocks from the station. And it's a convenient location being on the Yamanote line. I stayed there upon my arrival in Tokyo as I was traveling early the next morning....
