Langkawi awana or aseania hotel

Hi ppl,<BR>I would like to know of any comments on this two hotels in langkawi, i would personally prefer awana portal malai hotel since it is near the beach,however I am also keen to know of any other good 3-4 stars hotel.pls leave out those 5 stars hotel like sheraton.I also hope to receive any advise on the months to go langkawi.<BR>Rgds,<BR>Jazz

Try the Pelangi Beach Resort if you want 3/4 star, excellent beach. of the Holiday Villa for 2/3 star.<BR>Try <BR>http://www.malaysia-cheap-hotels.4t.com

You might want to take a boat across to Thailand for a few days, if you check the maps you will see how close it is, the area of Southern Thailand around Satun is close to where 'Survivor Thailand' was filmed!

As far as which months to go, well the temperature is pretty constant throughout the year but the main rainy season is August/September, so you should try and avoid those months. The best weather is between the end of October and beginning of April.<BR><BR>I was there two years ago at the end of April and on most days there was a mixture of bright sunshine and light cloud, with a couple of tropical downpours that cleared up fairly quickly, but I'm not sure how typical that is.
