Kuala Lampur - 2nights 3 days - what to do??
HI everyone,
Need some guidance on what one can do in KL for a short period in Nov.
Will be landing in afternoon from Bali and flying out in the evening after 2 nights stay.
Would like to do a home stay, shopping, and sight seeing.. Please advise whats the best location to stay in, and move around for sightseeing & shopping, also some inputs on medium priced places to eat in and how to travel.
Thanks
Kersy

Bukit Bintang is a great place to stay. Ideal for shopping, entertainment and food. Close to the monorail.4 stops away from KL Sentral, your gateway to the airport.
The Yard is a nice boutique hotel.

We are returning to KL later this year and have stayed in various places over the year. Coincidentally we have chosen to stay at at the yard as mentioned by inquest above. Bukit Bintang is probably as good a place as any for getting around.
For food, you are spoit for choice but one of my favourite locations is along Jalan Alor close to. Bukit Bintang. A huge variety of outdoor stalls an restaurant. Chinatown around Petaling street has a high concentration of, unsurprisingly, Chinese resataurants.
As mentioned above, the. Central Market is worth a look, Petronas Towers and KLCCC beneath are worth a few hours. For colonial architecture Merdeka. Square. The Islamic arts museum I'd very interesting. Chinatown comes alive in the early morning.
I would avoid taking taxis if at all possible. Far quicker to use the monorail and walk. Traffic in KL is terrible!
