Local tours include River Kwai day trip, takes about 3 hours each way, Floating Market is about 2 hrs away, Bang Saphan and Koh Talu for snorkeling and beaches also 2 hrs, Prachuap Bay and Ao Manao (where the Japanese first landed on the mainland ) 1 hr, Palu waterfall about 1 and a half hrs, Pranburi River cruise and Pranburi Pineapple plantation tour about 30 minutes away, Phetchaburi mountain top old palace and ruins and temples 1 hr, Koh Singto is small island for fishing and lazing and a little snorkeling but water not very clear, just 20 minutes from town then 10 minutes by boat, also at Son Suan big beach. In town old palace and the old railway station ( old steam loco ), the Sofitel is famous from movies. Elephant treks and local village tour. Night tour with dinner and show.
