For anybody who has a Suica card loaded in Apple Wallet (and if you visit Japan and have an iPhone 8 or later, why don't you?) the excellent atadistance blog reports there is now an English-language version of the JR East Support Suica - Apple Pay FAQ page that may be of interest.
