Japan stopover cancelled so now Singapore or Shanghai stopover?
Hi All
On our way to Europe we had a four day stopover in Tokyo and Kyoto booked - mid April. Soooo disappointed! We have had to cancel are are given the choice of Singapore or Shanghai and have about 5 hours to decide. What is your vote and why?
Thanks

Sort of depends on what your interests and style are.
yoursingapore.com
wins for me for upscale safe cosmopolitan less polluted city.
But SH is pretty is some outlying areas super cute
temples/towns so the good news is you will be fine either way.

I would go to Shanghai.
To me, its much more interesting than Singapore. Have been to both places many times , and am in no rush to return to Singapore.
Obviously, you need a visa for China, and that takes about 4 or 5 working days to obtain.
Just renewed my one year, multiple entry visa for China.

And forgot to mention that Lufthansa showed goodwill and waived any fees/penatlies. Will fly them again to prove their goodwill is worth it. Pity our Qantas did not follow suit. I had to change my connecting domestic flight and I ended up nearly paying for our fares again.
