Jain Temple
I'll be in Udaipur heading down to Kerala. Is it worth it to spend an extra day and visit the Jain temple in Ranakpur or is it just another temple..I'll already have done Delhi, Agra and Jaipur by then. Don't want to spend my entire trip in cars and transport. If its a must see, we can manage the time, but if there is nothing unique I may prefer to get down souht. comments?

Agreed, it's like no other. You almost need sunglasses for all the white marbel.
Ranakpur might be a good stop regardless just for its forested hills - like an oasis before you make the big drive (Kerala). Spend a couple days there and enjoy the clean, cool air and the lovely hikes.

If they are anything like the temples at Dilwara outside Mt Abu - then GO. For me a visit here was unplanned (well, I didn't have a plan, so let us say, unexpected) wonderful, unforgettable, experience.

It was the highlight of my trip. In my opinion more spectacular than the Taj. The Jain temples at Diwali near Mt. Abu were also spectacular. These are places that should be on the TOP of a list of places to go in India.
