How to call USA cheaper from Asia?

I, too use SKYPE,and the rates depend on where you are calling TO ( BAAJ..Take note).
I have used Skype on my travels in China, Korea, Japan, Thailand, Cambodia and normally, I only pay US $ 0.025 or so a minute to make a call. However, calls to some countries are expensive.
For example, I would never call a mobile phone in Australia, even if I am in Australia. I can call a mobile phone in China or USA for US$0.025 a minute, but, calling a mobile in Australia works out to be around US $ 0.25 or so a minute.
Of course, Skype to Skype calls are free.
