How long are delays at Narita?

Are they doing the thermal screening flu checks on all incoming flights from North America? How long is this taking? What about making connecting flights? Thank you for any recent reports from Narita. I'll be there in a few weeks.

I came through NRT on this past Monday. I was coming in from Bangkok and heading to Chicago. Our plane was not screened since we were not coming from US. MY flight onward to Chicago was on time. HOWEVER, there was a flight that was going to San Fran and it was delayed, I'd guess by about 45 minutes. The reason was that the plane had come FROM the US and was being fumigated (for lack of a better word) and cleaned before letting passengers on board. I hope this answer helps.

And yes, I'm sure they were screening all passengers from flights coming IN from US. You saw face masks everywhere!

I'm going to guess that there are more delays since (if I heard correctly) there is now swine flu in Japan. I would think they would rule on the side of caution, judging from what I saw nearly a week ago.

Does anyone else have more recent information?
