How does this sound?

Thanks to many people, I think I have a good plan on my Honeymoon to Thailand in late Oct/Early Nov. If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. I start with 5 nights in Bangkok (Peninsula Hotel Suite) temples, shopping, KickBoxing, Theater. Then of to Chiang Rai for 4 Nights (Phu Chaisai Resort & Spa) do some trekking, and sightseeing. Lastly, to Krabi for 5 nights (Pimalai resort) Relaxing with my wonderful wife. What do you think?

I would go to Chiang Mai rather than Chiang Rai. My wife and I spent two days in each last year and thought that CM was more interesting. Treking can be based in either.

I think that Krabi will have a high rainfall then. You might want to check this and possibly spend more time in Chiang Rai or Chiang Mai, where the weather is far better at that time of year.

Overall, I think it's a good itinerary. I'd stick with your plan of Chaing Rai rather than Chaing Mai. I think you'll be ok weather-wise on Krabi in early November, but you might check some other weather sources.

Even end-Oct/beg-Nov the weather up north was still hot - doesn't start to get cooler till December - so just know it's going to be hot and humid.

As to Krabi, we stayed in Phuket and only on arrival did we have some showers, though believe it did rain one nite while we slept.

Check the weather sites before you leave for all destinations BKK, CM & Krabi and you'll see that the closer you get to your departure date, the sky starts clearning and little rain is forecast. And even if you have a brief shower, it does feel kind of nice, until the humdity comes back in.

You'll have a wonderful trip.
