Houston Get Together Details

ATTENTION FODORITES!
Yes it’s what many of you have been waiting for all this time! No, the new telephone books have not arrived – it’s bigger than that! Was Gloria of Bangkok fame spotted checking into the Peninsula? No not that either….. it’s the details of the “Event of the Year” - The Houston Get Together Luncheon! (it’s Texas after all where everything is big!). We have about 18 attendees but still have room for more.

LOGISTICS

Kirin (Japanese) located at 5901 Westheimer at Fountain View (located in thea small shopping center with the Starbucks on the corner). You want international – you got it- the owner is Chinese, the food is Japanese, the wait staff are Korean and Thai.
Time – 12 noon sharp!

We have a private area of the restaurant reserved- just tell the hostess you are with the Fodors party. The quality of the food is excellent and the service 5 star. The food is replenished constantly and I believe the variety offered should suit just about everyone’s palate.

Buffet with hot tea, soft drink, or iced tea- plus tax and tip - $18 or

Buffet only plus tax and tip - $16

There will be one bill. I will pay with my credit card and then everyone will pay me accordingly. Please bring cash and try to have the exact amount please. Note that if you choose to have wine, beer, or other extras ( such as Sashimi- which is $8 extra) such extras will be billed directly to you by your waitress.

AGENDA:
Introductions- name tags for everyone
Keynote Speaker- Bill T (what? You were expecting Donald Trump or Condi Rice!)

knock it off bill!!!!....you are putting the boston GTG, your forerunner, to shame....we only get salads or burgers, but we do have The Donald, aka Gpanda, complete with hair.

seriously, great work and it looks like fun...and yes that was gloria entering the penn...she claims not be be going to bkk this year but in actuality i understand she has reserved the best penn suite for two weeks under a fake name and is wearing large hats so her O friends will not recognize her... the O is a wholly owned susidiary of the penn...

That might be a tad difficult since all I have are some Thai tee shirts that are now a bit small since washing them! I might sport a Hawaii shirt however!
